Re: Vehicle cost

Thank you. So I need to find a way to tweak vehicle cost myself then, high armour vehicles are way too much of the scale now (1.5k points for an Abrams, doesn't seem to be really able to be balanced with the rest of an army).

Vehicle cost

The vehicles in Modern Ops are a lot cheaper than the same vehicles in the Troop Builder. Can anyone shed some light on this? :)

Re: Saga of the Goblin Horde

As somebody who had the pleasure of getting to play it twice already*, I second that sentiment. I am very much looking forward to the finished product. :) *reports of those games are available: https://plus.google.com/u/0/+ManuelSambs/posts/8BSEFtvJtHu https://savage-german.blogspot.de/2016/09/the-s...

Re: Savageing Shadowrun

Otaku do not exist in Shadowrun 4. Otaku where children capable of accessing the Matrix without a cyberdeck, but faded from existence after the second crash (which, incidentally, was caused by an Otaku tribe). Surviving Otaku either lost their abilities, or developed what's now known as Technomancers.

Re: Savageing Shadowrun

Cool I'll take a look at it. Question for you though, in the 2e Shadowrun where everything is wired how do you incorporate today's technology like smartphones? I don't. :) I don't look at today's tech and try to work it into Shadowrun 2, I look at how Shadowrun 2 envisioned tech and run with that. ...

You could have a look at my conversion, Savage Shadowrun Second Edition: https://savage-german.blogspot.de/p/wel ... h-has.html
I am basically using programs like skill-equivalents in the Matrix. Maybe it will give you some ideas. :)

[DLR] Fanning the hammer with 2 guns via Quick Draw

Could a gunslinger use fanning the hammer twice in his round if he shoots his first gun, drops it, quick-draws a second gun into his off-hand and then shoots that gun? I'm aware this would be a ton of modifiers, even with a quick-draw-holster and Hip-Shooting (-2 for the second weapon multiaction, -...

[Sundered Skies] Flying Wildlings?

There are some bird-forms for Wildlings, but none of them can actually fly. Has anyone ever house-ruled a Wildling form with Flight? If so, how did it go?

Re: Savage Shadowrun, by ManuFS (Shadowrun Second Edition in Savage Worlds)

Ah, okay. Do you mind if I ask Why? Not at all. The Shadowrun races are not all that balanced, but imprinted a certain feeling into me as a long-time Shadowrun player. I haven't yet found the right way to build them as Savage Worlds races that make them feel right to me, so for the moment I am will...

Re: Savage Shadowrun, by ManuFS (Shadowrun Second Edition in Savage Worlds)

I've only read the first few pages of the document so far. The first thing I noticed is that the races don't seem to be balanced against one another. Correct, this is intentional, at least for the moment. :) As for Lifestyles, have you considered just treating them as commodities? In other words, r...

Re: Savage Shadowrun, by ManuFS (Shadowrun Second Edition in Savage Worlds)

Rich and Filthy Rich: Do these still give you the additional starting cash? The context (they're described as modified Edges) implies they don't, but that takes away their main short-term benefit. It's also a bit strange that Rich only pays for a Lower Class Lifestyle and Filthy Rich for a Middle C...

Not yet, but they are working on it. No idea if they've set a release date, though.

Re: Roll20 rules set

I don't feel like it's a matter of "what", more of "how" on Gildashard's end. Roll20 can be used free, and it can do pretty much everything FG can, but you have to invest some work into it yourself. FG gives you everything in a neat package, but at some initial and additional pac...

Re: Taking liberties with Hindrance rules

Yes, but as you pointed out Super Karma is a setting rule designed to supplement, not supplant, the core rules. It's there because of genre convention. Sure, but it's only one example of one Setting Rule. Nothing is stopping you from introducing your own Setting Rules in whatever way you like it. J...

Re: Taking liberties with Hindrance rules

Honestly I'm not sure why this isn't more flexible in the core rules. It isn't because it doesn't need to be. :) The Core rules aren't the Be All End All, they are basis on which it all is built. If you don't like the way something in the Core rules work, that's what Setting Rules are for. :) There...

Re: Roll20 rules set

Roll20 already has most of the functions of Savage Worlds available. Card-based initiative, Savage Worlds character sheets (which, with an API plugin, can handle initiative modifiers like Quick), you can simulate bennies by creating a custom card deck and hand out bennie "cards"... the one...

Re: {SR} to Warhammer 40k conversion

I ran a Savage 40K Dark Heresy game for a while, using only the Core Rulebook for the characters and a few things from Tour of Darkness for battlefield-scale warfare (artillery and such). Worked like a charm. Mind you, that was a game with the characters being henchmen of an Inquisitor, not a Space ...

Re: [SR] Con Games

I ran Garnet Town last weekend. It can be done in 4 hours, but the GM has to keep up the pace. There really isn't much time for excessive roleplaying, but it works great as an introduction to Savage Rifts.
