Re: Pitfalls of GMing Savage Worlds

Because of the cost and weight they would have added. And the game companies didn't have the resources they have today; there just weren't the number of figure manufacturers in existence yet and most figures were of rather poor quality. They were mainly wargames (Napolionics, etc.) manufacturers. I ...

Me, I'd like to get my hands on the old map book with the "plug-in" neighborhoods. They were just too cool! :D

Re: Help: Players constantly want to switch characters

As Galu said, have them be part of a larger group, such as an Explorer's Society, or a large band of mercenaries that jobs out a squad of folks to do certain tasks. You might want to lay down certain ground rules such as you can't switch out characters when you are in the middle of a dungeon. (unles...

Re: Savage Worlds licensing wishlist - The Witcher

I've thought about Paranoia myself but it rather depends on the chaotic and quite arbitrary assignment of target numbers, something not normal to the Savage Worlds ruleset. It's certainly possible but I couldn't come up with a way to approach it that I liked. I think it would drop a pretty heavy bur...

I would think running for Flying would be diving or swooping.

I love Bunnies & Burrows, but frankly the world is so simple there is really nothing to convert.

Re: Off-Hand Attacks (and some ideas concerning them)

If I were presented with this I would be tempted to assign an additional "off-hand" penalty to the kick as using your leg would be even more clumsy than using your off hand. I might compensate slightly by giving them a +2 to damage as the leg is heavier and stronger. Someone with martial a...

You would be looking for Beasts & Barbarians!

But I don't know of anyone running it online right now.

Oh, and welcome to the forums! :D

It is also not saying that there would actually be any problems, but these rules were set up to minimize any potential problems and, as far as I know, it has been working.

Thanks, but I need the Germans, they are just too cool! I will certainly be getting those as soon as he makes them available. The Americans all look like "The Rocketeer". :D

I'll see if I can track down TAG's paper minis.

[Thrilling Tales] Rocketeers

Hi guys! I'm running a Thrilling Tales adventure and I would like to find something suitable for Nazi rocketeer (rockettruppen?) miniatures. I've managed to find some American guys, and even some steampunk WW1 German rocketmen, but I'm having no luck finding anything else. Even any tips on kit-bashi...

Hey Zadmar, why don't you put a really nice, hi res version of the SotGH map up on DTRPG as a PWYW product?
That wouldn't have any ties to any product.

Re: Savage Worlds Web Tools Update

Semi-random then. I want to make up some pre-gens for an upcoming game. I consult the random generator which gives me a large list of archetypes available, then I choose which ones that would be appropriate for my adventure setting and it generates from there.
