Re: colored fate chips? why? (reloaded)

So, to recap: White: trait reroll, even if 1. Could get a 1 again on reroll. Blue: trait reroll as white, OR add 1d6 to roll (which can Ace). Use as blue guarantees no critical failure, and increased chance of Raise. GM gets chip if used as blue. Red: use as white or red, no GM chip. Close. Blue is...

[DLR] Superior vs Celestial Kung Fu - Wing Chun

My players just a dilemma to me. Superior Wing Chun; This style emphasizes flurries of powerful blows, usually both offensive and defensive at the same time. As long as your hero is attacking unarmed, he may make one additional Fighting attack at no penalty. The player gets two attacks. All great. C...

Re: [reloaded] Marshal looking for advice (possible The Flood Spoiler)

Travelling for longer periods is tiring, but there's nothing to stop them. Just let them get on with it and have them be fatigued when they arrive until they have a good nights rest. Mostly I don't let it be a problem. Find yourself killing a lot of PCs? Don't roll your dice where they can see them ...

Recoil is a b1tch ;)

D4 strength may see some bruised wrists from firing some of the larger guns or firing rapidly....

Have fun ;)

Good Intentions Players Guide

Is there going to be a separate PDF download for the Players section? Like there was for the previous PP books?

Re: The Flood Plot Point 4: How do they get to Tam?

My group did this just a few sessions ago.

After learning that they need to talk to Tam they set out to find out more about the man. Their questions, and pervious deeds, reached the ears of Tam and Tam brought them in.

DLR - Mad Science Dementia

When Mad Scientists take a new power they gain a dementia. Does that happen during character creation as well, if the player takes a new power right from the start?

Re: Need a long DL:R one-shot.

I'd recommend Murder on Hellstromme Express. I used it as an intro for my group and it lasted around 3-4 sessions (about 4-6 hours each). I cant be exact as it was a few years ago. We then moved onto Coffin Rock and, iirc, that was about 4-5 sessions. I think they both would run in a shorter time if...

Re: Handling a rather "careless" blessed character (City o' Gloom spoilers)

The posse arrived in a new town and went to the bar (as was their way) and got a drink and a table. As the Librarian started to drink, he felt a leathery hand on his shoulder; an ugly man in a faded coat, spoke in a raspy voice, "We're real proud of you, Simon. Keep up the good work." The...

I'm in for the campaign book, but the deluxe box will have to pass me by. And most people in the UK. International postage is prohibitively pricey :(

Re: The Blessed in The Flood

Your Blessed seems to take his powers for granted. Depending how you play your Powers That Be, they might take offense. If you want to limit his Healing, you could take a moment to narrate the healing attempt, describing to the player how the healing seems to take longer than usual - taking more an...

Why "new" rather than new. Is it going to be reprinting whats in Smith & Robards?

Either way I am all over both of these. :)

Re: So, I'm new to Deadlands

Answering on phone, so I'll keep it short. For me it's the horror aspect that sells the game to me. My other love is Ravenloft. Spot a connection? ;) I love being able to tell a story with my players that shocks them a little, makes them think and still have fun. The horror in Deadlands can be a lit...

:)

This will always be a view from one player only, but it should give an idea of things going on. I'll let you know when she writes the next part.
