I might be with out net if I go away on the 21st as I'm expecting, if you could, would you guesstimate if this is going to be a two volume or three, rulebook.

My guess is it'll be like Space 1889: Red Sands until I hear otherwise.

One book including a Plot Point setting.
You'll need the Core rules.

I would prefer two volumes like what they are doing with the new rippers.

Btw, that's a bad name for a game.

In the prisons, rippers is what they call sex offenders.

Ripper pc's, lol.

After reading the intro, you'll understand the reference.

It'll be a "line of books", according to Scott Alan Woodard, the Flash Gordon Brand Manager. (Source: the G2V Extra Podcast, Gen Con 2015 Part 2)

Now, what exactly comprises a line of books is anyone's guess. I'd hope to see a core setting book and two or three adventure books like Pinnacle's done with the Last Parsec.

They said "a line" with rifts.

And that turned out to be:

Players guide
GM handbook
Denizens manual

So Flash Gordon will probably take the same route.

So they both are looking like deadlands reloaded explorers but the monster/npc sections are their own volume, and replaced with a plot point campaign, and world info.

It will still be a line, those are the first ones out. How could they possibly get out more books for January 2016?? That is too much to ask for I would say.

Sean and Shane has stated that it will be a line and that these books starts it.

Best regards.

Hi everyone,

Thanks as always for the enthusiasm for Flash...and Rifts...and so much of what we do. :)

We don't have a lineup yet for Flash, or a release date. Sorry. But you're right, it will be a *line* of books. Meaning more than one.

That's all I can say for now. When we have news we'll share it on the website, social media, here--everywhere!

Thanks!

Thanks for the kind words, folks! We're hoping for next fall for Flash, but we'll see. Rifts will be before that. That's about all we can say.

Folks often wonder why we can't set firm dates. We're not a big company, and we all work from our homes. When someone misses a date or something is harder than we think, everything slows down, other projects jump into line, etc. Larger companies ten to have more people to handle some of the problems that crop up, or more capital to do things far earlier and not tell you about them until they're almost done.

So we do the best we can to make the BEST books possible. That truly is our goal, and we constantly ask what we can do to give YOU the best value possible.

Thanks all :)

Shane

Tricky question. We have access to all of the original comics, which were in many cases direct sources for all the other versions mentioned. So there may be things which appear to come from one source, but in fact come from the original.

I'd like to know how things are going with this. Was just reading something about Most Anticipated Games of 2016 and the first thing I said was "Where's Flash Gordon?"
"The police take you down to the station for Questioning. Everyone take 1D3 points of Questioning." -Me, to my Call of Cthulhu players on many occasions.

Hello,

I'm excited about Flash Gordon but I have a question. Will Flash Gordon be a stand alone RPG with a new ruleset or will it be a source book(s) for Savage Worlds Deluxe? Thanks!

It's definitely a licensed setting for the Savage Worlds system, so it is built off the core rules.
