[Sundered Skies] Flying Wildlings?

There are some bird-forms for Wildlings, but none of them can actually fly. Has anyone ever house-ruled a Wildling form with Flight? If so, how did it go?

Well, nobody's ever answered this so here's my two cents.

I certainly would allow it; the Monstrous Ability gives Flight at Pace speed, which I think is ridiculously limited for a flying creature, I'd probably up it to 2x Pace (of course, they can still "run").
This would be if they stayed Small, if they opted for the Edge that gives them enhanced size, then their flight would be limited to gliding/breaking their fall.

I'd make it an alternate advantage gained by the Beastling edge.

Probably it' setting related. I'm playing the campaign, so I still don't know everything, however in the Sundered Skies there are no birds (if memory serves me well). You can find flying whale-like monsters, and weird razor-winged manta like "birds", but no birds.

Well, "bird" is a relative term. Just say winged or flying instead.

There are bird Wildlings though. And the Elves have scarier versions of Wildlings that are NPCs only, including a flight capable hawk person.

Given the nature, style, and tone of the setting, Flight is a very powerful racial ability, far more so than in more traditional settings. I suspect that, like 50 Fathoms, Flight is more valuable than normal among the shattered isles.
Definitely a point to consider when making it available to players. (And yes, I am aware that this is four or more months too late.)

Yes, flight can give you a huge advantage, if you are anywhere within sight of a landmass. A pretty rare occurrence in Sundered Skies. At best, you would need some kind of navigational aid, only carried aboard ships and operated by a navigator. You can glide, slowing your descent, for as long as your strength holds out.

Perhaps you could only allow full flight if you retain the Small Hindrance.

I think it would give a GM more options rather than just saying your character is dead just because he fell overboard.

And while there are creatures that have adapted to the new world, I would have plenty of birds still exist, particularly on the largest fragments. And while migration would be very rare, those few occasions it still occurs would be a wonder to behold, and an ongoing puzzle to "science".
