2013 Origins and Gen Con Games FAQ

#1 Postby Evil Mike » Wed Jan 30, 2013 10:37 am

Hi Savages!

We are starting to get some questions regarding the announcement for getting more folks involved in Origins and Gen Con games. So here are some FAQs.

Q. Are the four one sheets the only adventures that we can run?
A. No, they are just options for folks who don’t otherwise have something to run.

Q. What settings will those one sheets count for?
A. Crypt of the Scaled Ones is Fantasy Homebrew, Death Worm is Sci-Fi Homebrew, Old Todd Passage is Deadlands, and Sorority Street is Degrees of Horror.

Q. Does Savage Worlds Showdown count?
A. Yes, Showdown counts.

Q. Are the three things mentioned in the "Pick up at the convention" section the contents of the Savage Worlds 2013 GM Event Pack?
A. Yes, it’s the physical items you get for running the required number of games.

Q. Is it three games in one con or three games between the two conventions?
A. Three 4 hour games or six 2 hour games at one convention.

Q. Is prior GM experience necessary to take part?
A. No prior experience necessary, we want to get more people running.

Q. When will the One Sheet Adventures be made available?
A. TBD, keep watching for the announcement.

Q. What is the maximum number of players that the One Sheet Adventures can handle?
A. Six.

Can you add a link to the original announcement of this plan? It was on the peginc main page but I can't find it now. I wanted to re-read it before signing up.

Here's the original announcement, and here's the GM Event Pack announcement.

(P.S., you can always get to the older news stories by clicking "News" at the top of the home page; not the drop-down, just click.)

We have a charity game day coming up in May. Do you think the games will be out to GM's by then? If so, would it be okay for me to run them during the game day as a play test?

The games are close to being done. We are just waiting on final art. Sorry I don't have a specific date for you yet.

Is there there any talk in the works to do an "unofficial" Savage Saturday Night? Somewhat in the vein the origins of the event itself?

I'm running a Star Wars - Tour of Darkness: Endor scenario for a few friends on Saturday. I would be cool if an unofficial room could be found for a few games.

The PCs are stormtroopers. This pic below might be the outcome.

And the Fate indicates it will be a TPK - this is post number 666 for me...
