Savage Rifts® Player's Guide Errata

#1 Postby Clint » Fri May 20, 2016 5:34 pm

Hi Gang,

Just putting this here to eventually compile any errata from the Savage Rifts® Player's Guide.

Be aware this thread is solely for posting actual errata, not asking general questions on the books. Feel free to start a new thread for anything else related to the books (and of course questions on the rules in the books can be posted in the Official Answers topic for other products).

It's really tough for us to compile the errata when the thread is cluttered up with extraneous posts, so please don't make it harder for us.

Thanks all and we really do appreciate all the help!

[Players] the boxouts with player advice that are dark grey with darker grey hexes are a little hard to read the text on, could the colours there be adjusted.

[Players] pg 57 Paragraph two, sentence three. "Most Grackles are up warriors" Statement makes no sense, looks like a typo.

[Players] pg 74 Scrounger first bullet point should be "Gain 1d6 +2 fully chargeD e-clips"

[Players]Pg 5 "..to make certain something only mathematicians dare talk about."
I think that certain is supposed to be the subject of the sentence but it looks like there's a missing noun. "Make certain what is something only mathematicians dare talk about?" was my initial reading.

Seconded, and I think it's very hard to read (checked on multiple screens).

[Players]Glitter Boy text box on Pg 22. - no space between Run d10 and Swim Pace 6 (they're all one giant word) "(Rund10),SwimPace6" and took me a few tries to read.

Page 17: Psyche Degradation Table

"Mania is explained in the New Hindrances section (page 66)" is repeated in the Monologuer entry.

{Players} pg 44 Dragon. While painfully obvious nothing in the Dragon Hatchling career indicates you cannot also choose a race.

[Players]Pg. 122-123 Technical Difficulties This rule appears to put any cyborg two rolls away from death, specifically a death that cannot be prevented with Bennies or channeled into Blaze of Glory. They just simply go off the edge of the Technical Difficulty chart and stop working, a/k/a dead. Technical Difficulties specifically applies to cybernetics and any trait roll. Combat Actions (including defensive actions) count. As written it is reasonable to assume that crit roll 6 then crit failure again destroys the cyborg body or Glitter Boy the character is wearing.

Is that the intent?

Additionally there's no price for the Glitterboy so no way to calculate parts/materials for the required Repair rolls aside from glitch.

pg. 111 - Blast-Greater Blast. Maybe I'm missing something here with the word "exalted blast" but shouldn't it read "Greater Blast" when referring to it's use with mega damage?

[Players] pg 92 Weapons table. So the weapons table does not list Vibro and Chain weapons as causing Mega Damage despite the rules text on page 89 stating that they do. It's probably clearer if on the summary table all the weapons that do Mega Damage are listed as such, as currently its confusing as some TW weapons are specifically noted as causing mega damage and others are not.

[Players] pg 95 No spacing in the first sentence of the JA-11 Energy Rifle text entry. Comma missing from NG-LG6 Laser Rifle entry after grenade.

[Players] pg 126 The write up for the New German Republic is included under the heading of England. Should probably be its own entry or the section labelled Western Europe. Similarly Eastern Europe should be Eastern Europe and Asia.

[Players] pg 142 In the Training table the language varies a lot. "one" "bonus" and "free" die type increases are all mentioned though I assume they mean the same thing.

Under the Castle Refuge section...
Is it Dahra Hammerheart or Hammerstone?
She is referred to as both.

I noticed that the Dragon Hatchling seams to be in the Iconic Framework section and not in the D-Bees section.

Can someone clarify if the Hatchling is an Iconic Framework ?

Howdy All,
the below sentence on page 57 on the Grackle Tooth has "up" when I think you meant something like "usually" or "natural".

Quoted text from second paragraph:
Most Grackles are up warriors, though a fair
number enjoy mechanical and engineering
pursuits

Seconded, and I think it's very hard to read (checked on multiple screens).

Yep, it's an Iconic Framework. Dragons are a bit more capable than a typical D-Bee. ;)

Hi everyone

page 94, Wilk's 237 indicates damage as 26d+1 instead of 2d6+1

same page, under rocket launchers are acronyms I have no idea what they mean or where to find their meaning: SBT. LBT

Also,

page 95, the first line of text under "notes" for the JA-11 has no spaces between words. Awkward to read
